Visit Your Local Pharmacy for a Free Flu Shot!
One of the best ways to stay healthy this fall and winter is to get a flu shot. The good news is that flu shots are free again this year at participating pharmacies for employees enrolled in The Local Choice health plans and their covered family members. View more information and a list of the pharmacies participating in the TLC flu shot program.

Costs Reduced for Some Prescription Drug Categories
Beginning July 1, TLC Key Advantage plan members who take brand name prescription drugs in three specific drug categories where generics are also available may see lower prescription drug costs. There will be a maximum out-of-pocket cost for drugs in these categories. See the Prescription Drug Program Enhanced flyer.

Autism Coverage Provided in The Local Choice Plans Starting July 1, 2012

Governor Bob McDonnell recently signed legislation to provide coverage for diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorder for children age 2 through 6 years old. The Local Choice health plans are included in these bills passed by the 2011 General Assembly, which also provide a $35,000 annual cap for applied behavior analysis (ABA) services.

As provided by the legislation, this change will be effective for employees and family members covered under TLC plans beginning July 1, 2012 (and October 1, 2012 for certain school groups). The Local Choice Health Benefits Program will share updates as information is available. See the enrolled legislation.
